Eagle-eyed website visitors will have noticed a new logo crowning our homepage. This logo has been designed as part of a wider market town brand creation which aims to celebrate everything that Midsomer Norton has to offer.
The design work has been led by Midsomer Norton Cultural Consortium, working with Jamjar Agency as part of the High Street Cultural Programme. The logo design references the Town Hall, the amphitheatre in the Town Park, the River Somer, the Midsomer Norton Knight and the Somerset and Dorset Railway. There is also an accompanying suite of abstract tiles referencing various aspects of Midsomer Norton’s rich culture.
Our colours are inspired by Midsomer Norton’s natural and industrial worlds. An autumn/winter colour variation will be launched later this year.
The brand officially launches with the installation of 14 new banners along the High Street welcoming visitors to our town. The banner designs also includes vintage maps from 1929 showing what the High Street would have looked like nearly 100 years ago.
