Molly Mural – A townscape of Midsomer Norton

About the work

Molly’s artwork is an abstract take on the townscape of Midsomer Norton. The work is informed by collage designs created by members of the community during a creative workshop in January 2023, run as part of Midsomer Norton Community Trust’s ‘winter warmers’ programme. It references important visual landmarks in Midsomer Norton, including the batch and the river, and uses a colour palette inspired by local industry and nature.

You can hear more about the story of the ‘batch’, and Midsomer Norton’s industrial past, on the Myths & Memories of Midsomer Norton High Street audio trail.
